Character Evaluation

Protagonist: Agent Miller 

Costume - her costume conforms to conventions as it is smart and formal, like an agents would be, the dark black blazer connotes mystery as well as superiority suggesting she has been working a long time and has negative emotions towards these brothers. The blazer makes her smart enough to look like she's working but casual enough to not look like the head of the force. Throughout the trailer she wears dark colours suggesting she has a dark past and is not an overtly happy person as these brothers have made her life hell. As we only shot on a few occasions there wasn't much chance to have a variety of costumes but this worked okay in the trailer as because she is a working agent we don;t expect her to wear much more than the coat or blazer that she is frequently seen in. 

Story - as an agent chasing after two brothers she is stereotypical as she has a vendetta against some 'bad guys' who destroyed her life in the past. Her story of wanting vengeance and spending the film chasing after them is seen in many other action films (deadpool ect) and is conventional, although the reasons as to why she's chasing after these brothers is not made as explicitly clear in the trailer as it is in other similar genre trailers the general storyline is still the same.

Antagonist: Kingsley Brothers

Costume - both brothers are seen wearing suits in the trailer which is highly conventional and promotes superiority, organisation and is noticeable in many other action trailers. The contrast of grey and blue suits could suggest that the brothers may have their differences and could turn against each other in the film, it could suggest one is more sinister than the other and is more determined to cause agent Miller pain. We were adamant that we wanted the antagonists in suits as its one easy visual way for them to conform to conventions and were pleased with how it looked in the trailer, it makes them seem professional and sinister.

Story - they are the stereotypical 'bad brothers' who work together to bring disruption and death to other peoples lives, you don't see much of them in the trailer but enough to know they are the bad guys and that they and sinister and have caused agent Miller great pain in the past
