Titles Evaluation

For our AS production we had some titles during the opening 30 seconds of our production but they were slightly rushed and not something we allocated much time too. Some of the criticisms of our opening were that the titles were a bit rushed and we made it one of the things we wanted to focus on at A2. Therefore this year during the production phase we allocated time so one of us in the group could specifically focus on producing more impressive, better looking titles.

We took inspiration from many action trailers such as Spectre and Taken with the most inspiration taken from action trailers made by previous students, by analysing there work we were able to gather ideas of timings (when to place the titles in the trailer), frequency (how many we should include) and content (what text to put in the titles). In total we had almost a dozen titles spread throughout roughly the last minute of the trailer which helped make our trailer look far more professional. We chose to include actors names as we felt this was something conventional of action trailers and drew in audiences as these could be perceived as unique selling points of our film.

Overall I think the titles look highly professional and are one of the strengths of our trailer, we dedicated enough time this year to producing them and therefore improved from our AS production and learnt from it to create a better finished product the second time round.
