Setting Evaluation

America
We were lucky enough to go on a school trip to New York and Washington during our production time and were therefore able to shape our trailer around the idea that the protagonist has traveled to America which in turn makes our trailer look very expensive. It also helps audiences identify what genre our trailer is, having three recognisable cities (London, Washington and New York) meant that audiences could guess that with such elaborate settings the film must be high budget and therefore likely to be an action.

London
As we live only 40 minutes from London we knew immediately that we wanted to make a trailer in which we could make the most of this setting, a horror trailer would be tricky to incorporate this setting, whilst with comedy and romance we wouldn't be able to make the most of the setting therefore i'm really glad we chose to do an action as it meant we could use this setting for a large proportion of our trailer.

Rooftop
For the pinnacle part of our trailer we chose to have a dramatic shoot out on the rooftop - this was one part of the trailer which we successfully got from planning to production to editing and is a good dramatic finish to our trailer. The final shot is from Miller, the protagonists point of view, to reinforce the idea that we as the audience are on her side. The setting is quite stereotypical of action as its an abandoned industrial place and a high up, there's no escaping.

Garage
As an isolated location it conforms to action stereotypes as it's a place to hold/torture/murder someone - things that all happen in action films.
